  • Yes, and we would love to hear from you. The Artists We Love page is our curated space for the designers, makers, and creators whose work belongs in the Fabled Routes world: clothing designers, corset makers, armourers, cloak and wings makers, accessory designers, weapon makers, photographers, illustrated cover artists, trinket and collectible makers, and beyond. If your work carries that particular romantasy magic, reach out via our Contact page with a link to your shop or portfolio. We review every submission personally.

  • Work that feels like it belongs in a story. We're drawn to creators who bring the romantasy aesthetic to life through their craft, whether that's a hand-stitched gown that looks like it came straight from the Night Court, a forged blade that could have belonged to a Warrior archetype, or an illustrated cover that makes you want to read a book that doesn't exist yet. We feature creators whose work we genuinely love and would recommend to our own community, so quality and aesthetic fit matter more than follower count.

  • No. Being featured on Artists We Love is not a paid placement. We feature creators because we love their work, full stop. That said, we do appreciate when featured creators set up affiliate links for their products — it helps us keep the page going and the community growing, and we'll always be transparent with our audience about how those links work.

  • Absolutely. We are always building our roster of travel photographers who understand the romantasy aesthetic and know how to capture an experience in a way that feels cinematic and true. If you're interested in joining a trip as our on-the-ground photographer, email your portfolio, home base location, and rates to hello@fabledroutes.com. Compensation varies by trip and may include a combination of payment and a comped experience.

  • Every booked traveller is invited into their trip's private WhatsApp group, which stays open and active long after the journey ends. Beyond that, follow us on Instagram and TikTok for reading lists, artist features, trip previews, and the kind of content that makes the real world feel a little more like the one in your favourite book. The community lives across all of it.

  • We'd love to talk. Author talks and reading events are already part of several of our Scribe experiences, and we're always looking for writers whose work resonates with our community. Reach out via the Contact page and tell us about yourself and what you're working on.

Trip Partners

& Operators

  • Possibly, yes. We are always looking for operators, retreat centres, local guides, and experience providers whose offerings align with the Fabled Routes aesthetic and values. If you run something that would genuinely resonate with our community — a wilderness expedition, a luxury retreat, a cultural immersion, a hands-on workshop — we want to hear about it.   • We are drawn to experiences that feel intentional, atmospheric, and genuinely special. Small/medium-group or private formats. Settings that have a sense of place. Operators who care about the quality of the experience as much as the logistics. Broadly, anything that fits the Warrior, Healer, Royalty, or Scribe archetype and could belong in the world Fabled Routes is building. We are not looking for mass-market tours or generic itineraries.

  • Listing on Fabled Routes is a paid partnership. Depending on the arrangement, this may be a flat listing fee, a percentage of sales generated through our platform, or a combination of both. Every partnership is structured on a case by case basis and all terms are agreed and outlined clearly before anything goes live. Email hello@fabledroutes.com to start the conversation.

  • Yes — and we love it when you do. If you'd like to book multiple spots or enquire about a private group experience, reach out to us via the Contact page and we'll make it happen.

  • All Fabled Routes land packages include accommodation, activities, vetted local guides, and your pre-trip materials. Flights and transportation to the starting point are available as an optional add-on through our trusted vendors. Any additional add-ons, such as the photographer or stylist options, are listed clearly on each trip page.

  • Yes. Our 2027 calendar includes international destinations across Europe, New Zealand, Italy, Turkey and Egypt, and we are actively building relationships with vetted local operators in those regions. If you are based internationally and your experience fits the Fabled Routes world, reach out.

Booking

Questions

  • Booking is simple and entirely online. Browse our archetype pages to find the experience that calls to you, select your trip, and follow the checkout process. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately after booking along with your welcome info and WhatsApp group invitation.

  • Absolutely. Many of our travellers book solo and find that the small-group format makes connecting with fellow adventurers effortless. You'll never feel like an outsider. Everyone arrives ready to share the experience.

  • All Fabled Routes experiences are small - medium group by design. Depending on the trip we will have anywhere from 10 - 30 travelers! We believe intimate groups create the best conditions for genuine connection, deeper experiences, and the kind of friendships that last long after the trip ends.

  • Yes — and we love it when you do. If you'd like to book multiple spots or enquire about a private group experience, reach out to us via the Inquires page and we'll make it happen.

Your Pre- Trip

Experience

  • The adventure begins the moment you confirm your booking. Here is what to expect:

    Immediately after booking: You'll receive a welcome email with your archetype prep guide, curated reading and inspiration list, and an invitation to your trip's private WhatsApp group.

    2 months before departure: Your full trip itinerary, suggested packing list, and expected weather information will be sent so you can prepare with confidence.

    2 weeks before departure: A final confirmation with all logistics, meeting points, and a last-minute prep checklist so you arrive ready for everything.

  • Every archetype receives a tailored pre-trip guide designed to begin the experience long before you pack your bag. The Warrior receives a Training Guide to get physically prepared. Royalty receives a Style & Packing Guide. The Healer receives a Wellness Prep Guide with breathwork and journaling prompts. The Scribe receives a Reading & Research Guide to arrive already steeped in the history and stories of your destination.

  • Every trip has its own private WhatsApp group where you can connect with your fellow travellers before, during, and after the experience. Ask questions, share excitement, coordinate logistics, and — once the trip is over — keep the community alive. These groups are yours to keep and continue as long as you'd like. The friendships made on Fabled Routes trips don't end when the journey does.

  • Not at all — though we think you'll want to. The reading list is a curated selection of books that will deepen your connection to the places you're about to experience. Think of it as optional enrichment, not homework. Even reading one or two titles before you go can make the whole trip feel more layered and alive.

Your Fabled

Route

  • Fabled Routes is built around four traveler archetypes — Royalty,Healer, Scribe, and Warrior. Each one represents a different way of moving through the world and a different kind of adventure. You can choose one archetype or blend two — most of us are more than we appear. Visit our Archetypes page to find your path.

  • Absolutely! Many of our most compelling trips sit right at the intersection of two archetypes. A Warrior x Healer might spend days in the backcountry and evenings soaking in hot springs. A Royalty x Scribe might explore ancient archives by day and attend a private candlelit dinner by night. When you browse our trips, look for experiences that speak to both sides of you.

  • A vetted on-the-ground photographer is available on all Fabled Routes experiences when possible. They know the locations, the light, and how to capture moments that feel cinematic and true. Professional content packages — photos and video — can be purchased and are listed on each trip page when available.

  • It depends entirely on your archetype. Warrior experiences are designed to be physically challenging — expect hiking, horseback riding, climbing, and backcountry adventures that will ask something of your body. Royalty, Healer, and Scribe experiences are far more relaxed in terms of physical demand, with the focus on atmosphere, culture, restoration, and discovery. Each trip page includes a clear indication of physical requirements so you can choose with confidence.

  • We'd love to hear from you. Head to our inquiries page and send us a message — we'll get back to you as soon as we can. There are no silly questions when it comes to planning an adventure you'll remember for the rest of your life.

Payment

Questions

  • A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due based on your chosen payment option.

  • We offer two payment options to suit different budgets:

    Pay in Full — pay the complete trip price at booking and receive our standard rate. No additional fees.

    Payment Plan — pay a 25% deposit at booking, then spread the remaining balance across monthly installments leading up to your departure. A 5% fee is added to the total trip price for this option. The full balance must be cleared no later than 90 days before departure.

  • If you are on a payment plan, all monthly installments must be completed and your full balance cleared no later than 90 days before your departure date. You will receive a reminder as this date approaches.

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure online booking system. Additional payment options may be available — details are shown at checkout.

Cancellations

& Refunds

  • We understand that life happens. Our cancellation policy is designed to be as fair as possible while allowing us to honour our commitments to guides, venues, and operators:

    90 days or more before departure — Full refund

    60 days before departure — 75% refund

    30 days before departure — 50% refund

    Less than 30 days before departure — No refund

  • We know that sometimes circumstances are completely beyond your control. While we are unable to guarantee refunds for last-minute cancellations, credits toward a future Fabled Routes trip are considered on a case by case basis. Please reach out to us as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to find a fair solution.

  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a trip, you will receive a full refund of all payments made. We will notify you as early as possible and do everything in our power to offer you an alternative experience.
